Kendall McCarthy
Elementary Art Teacher
I’ve been teaching for three years, with experience that includes working in Alachua County Public Schools as both a substitute and long-term substitute teacher, as well as teaching third grade and Elementary Art at Cornerstone Academy, a private Christian school. Currently, I teach Elementary Art at FIG.
Teaching is a career where every day offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. It’s incredibly rewarding to work with students who are eager to learn and be inspired. Watching them grow and master new skills that you’ve helped them develop is one of the most gratifying parts of the job.
In my free time, I love to travel or go on walks in areas around Gainesville—it keeps me inspired both personally and creatively.
One unique detail about me is that I have a twin sister who almost looks exactly like me.
