Bryan Behl
Latin Teacher
Having been a Latin student myself from 6th through college, over the past 15 years I have had the pleasure of teaching the subject to elementary through high school students. Introducing students to the ancient world, strengthening their knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, exposing them to great works of poetry and prose, and helping them see the world through different eyes are just some of the treasures I get to share in the classroom. And I receive treasures in return: seeing students' faces light up when something finally clicks, watching them grow in character and wisdom as they work hard and grasp new ideas, and sharing in their sense of accomplishment when they master skills or do well in competitions. When I am not at the FIG (or the upper school), you can find me at UF mentoring college students with Gator Christian Life or at home with my wife, Marissa, and our 7 sons.
